I have a porter fermenting in my conical, this fermenter is by far one of the best investments I have ever made. I have been using it for a few years now. It is a huge time saver and virtually eliminates the risk of contamination during transfer. The unit has really good hardware and everything works very well. This is great, reusable beer labels. Now that is definitely recycle, reduce, reuse all in one simple product. I will have to get me some of these. I rarely have bottles beer but I am thinking this would also be good on the pitcher or glass. I guess it will look great on the growler too!

Homebrew Beer - Chemical Free Yeast Starter



I have been starting yeast this way for years, I don't like to use any kind of chemical when culturing yeast. I do use alcohol to sterilize my hands and the outside of the yeast container but other than that it is just heat. I am getting really good results every time. Working with burning hot liquid is a little tricky but hey, if you are a true homebrewer you must be used to that
