last minute shopping at alamoana

Many people are doing there last minute shopping at Ala Moana
there are so many people that two escalators broke and almost everybody at Ala Moana was waiting for the elevator  and my dad just made me walk across the hole shopping center until we found an escalator.
a lot of people must like Lego because when i passed by almost half of the Legos were gone and the workers were getting hit and smashed.
as me and my dad were going to Macy's we stopped by to watch the hula so many people were there that you could not hear the chanting or the ipu.
right before we left the craziness the noise died down and everyone was leaving soon it was almost empty.

so my advice to you is shop early or come home with bruises.

Lunch at CPK, Ala Moana Center 11/29/2012

I went to Ala Moana Center for a little Christmas shopping. I was surprised to see so few sales this year after Thanksgiving but the mall was pretty busy. There was a nice hula show at the center stage, I had lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen and grabbed a cup of Kona Coffee at the Honolulu Coffee Copmpany.

Akiko and I had some Sesame Ginger Chicken Dumplings,  a California Club pizza and some Chicken Tequila Fettuccine. The food came out really fast and the service was excellent.

The Chinese dumplings were very tasty with shoyu ginger sauce and a nice crunch from the fresh green onions. They gave us 6 pieces. I swear they came in less than 5 minutes after ordering and the pizza came really soon after that. It was an interesting pizza with a strong bacon flavor and a salad on top. I didn't care much for the mayonnaise on the pizza but it was a nice flavor combination.
The Tequila pasta was the most interesting for me. I usually don't like pasta but this one is something I certainly recommend. It is a spinach fettuccine with tangy jalapeno lime sauce, it had chicken, onions, bell pepper and cilantro on it. My mouth is actually watering now thinking about it. In Japan they say "hanging cheek", In Hawai'i we say "broke da mouth", it was really good.
Needless to say, we were bloatched after all that food. Yes, we finished it all. No room for desert but the all new salted caramel pudding looked pretty darn good. The ladies across from us had a really big and beautiful red velvet cake delivered as we were leaving. It looked very delicious too. I grabbed a fresh brewed cup of Kona coffee from the Honolulu Coffee Company and headed out to the madness.
We were able to find a couple really good deals at Ala Moana, ALOHA!!
