6:30 - 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday of the month of January at the Kuhio Beach Hula Mound, near the Duke Kahanamoku statue,beachside at Uluniu & Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, weather-permitting. Outdoors, casual. Seating on the grass; beach chairs, mats, etc. okay. Cameras are welcome.Featuring Ainsley Halemanu and Hula Halau Ka Liko O Ka Palai.

Description

Kumu hula Kekoa & Pelehonuamea Harman with Halau I Ka Leo Ola o Na Mamo perform in a one-of-a-kind outdoor setting at the kahua hula (platform) in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.This performance is presented authentically in a natural setting, rain or shine without electronic amplification. Audience members are encouraged to bring sun/rain gear and sitting mats.This free event is supported in part by a grant from the County of Hawaii, Dept. of Research and Development and the Hawaii Tourism Authority. Park entrance fee may apply.
